It was only in 1950 that Jean FANNIERE decided to produce his own Champagne.
Success came quickly thanks to the quality of the Chardonnay Grapes from Avize. In the begining just few thousand bottles were produced, but the production increased each year to attain 10 000 bottles in 1965 when his daughter Josette and her husband Guy VARNIER took over the lead of the vineyard.
They bought new vineyards in Oger and Cramant wich are also Grand Cru, to produce new Cuvées.
